Steve Birtman

2005 Legislative Session and the results Steve joined NFIB in 1997 as assistant state director of Florida State Public Policy. He was promoted to State Director in 2001. Prior to joining NFIB, he was chief legislative aide for Associated Industries of Florida, and legislative research director for The Committee of Regulated Industries in the Florida House of Representatives. Steve has lobbied the Florida Legislature on issues such as workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, taxes, civil justice reform, and health care.
