MAY

2006 Ms. Nadreau has been with Double Eagle for 19 years, but as of late the main function of her position is to bring alcohol awareness to the community on underage drinking, alcohol abuse and drunk driving. She is on the Alcohol and Other Drug committees both at FAU and Lynn University. In addition, to sponsoring Anheuser-Busch speakers at FAU, Lynn U, and high schools, Double Eagle has also participated in and donated Responsibility Matters items for their spring break and alcohol awareness week in October. An all day Street Smart presentation will be addressed to all grades at Boca High School March 15. Street Smart has a team of two state-certified paramedics walk the students through what happens at a trauma scene using the medical equipment they employ daily in their jobs and, what it’s like to be the victim. They learn the stories behind the crashes. Students come to know the power that comes from making the right choices, from choosing not to drink or use drugs, and to choose whether to wear a seat belt. Ms. Nadreau also works with our law enforcement officials, Florida and U.S. Legislators, on alcohol related legislative issues. Double Eagle and Anheuser-Busch have partnered with AAA to offer the Tow-To-Go program for all major holidays. By calling a toll free number, anyone who feels they have had too much to drink can get a free ride and their car towed to their home. Tow-To-Go posters are placed at FAU, bars and restaurants. Ms. Nadreau moved to South Florida 31 years ago and has lived in the same house for all thirty years. |

JULY 12, 2006 Lynda
Milito the author of Mafia Wife will be our
guest at the July Luncheon.
When Lynda Lustig met Louie Milito, she was a sixteen-year-old high-school dropout with a taste for adventure and an agonizing childhood. When they were married two years later, he was not yet a "made man" in the powerful Gambino crime family. Louie was a hairdresser who dabbled in petty thievery. But Lynda was so happy to be out of her domineering mother's loveless house. And over the years, she was willing to forgive her husband for anything: his violent rages, his frequent absences, his shady associates, and the blood on his hands. For twenty-four years Lynda Milito remained loyal to this charming and dangerous criminal -- her children's father and close friend of crime boss John Gotti and underboss Sammy "the Bull" Gravano. But in 1988, Louie Milito disappeared, murdered by the very people he had always trusted to protect him. A crime story, a family story, a love story, Mafia Wife is the shockingly intimate, brutally honest tale of a survivor -- and of the life she lived in the dark bosom of the underworld. Don't miss this exciting luncheon! |
